About the event

THE NIGHTINGALE AND THE EMPEROR OF CHINA

With the collaboration of Alecia Lawyer

A story written by Hans Cristian Handersen, adapted and set to music by Kevin Lau.

"The Nightingale and the Emperor of China" is a beautiful tale of love and friendship by the Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. It tells the story of a spoiled emperor who falls in love with the song of a nightingale. When the emperor is given a mechanical bird, he neglects his real one, which returns home. However, the emperor is ultimately saved from death by the nightingale, who comes to his aid by charming Death with its song.

This tale also teaches us that we cannot appropriate the talent of others.
